Proposed Changes to Reservation Facility Reservation Application

Pursuant to Civil Code §4360, the Board of Directors will be considering proposed changes to the Recreation Facility Reservation Application at the Board of Directors meeting to be held at the Santa Rosa Apartments Recreation Center on March 24, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. If you wish share your opinion regarding the proposed changes, please send your written comments to management’s office so it can be delivered to the Board prior to the Board Meeting. Alternatively, if you can attend the Board Meeting, your constructive comments will be considered by the Board of Directors prior to its making a decision on the proposed changes. Any and all comments made at the Board Meeting will be subject to the standing rules of the Board related to member comments at Board meetings.
The proposed changes include an increase in the non-refundable use fee from $20.00 to $50.00 and an indemnity provision and insurance requirement. Reservations will be limited to one (1) per day per facility and may not exceed six (6) hours. There is a thirty (30) person maximum per reservation.
The purpose and effect of the proposed changes are to provide more guidelines with respect to reserving the Association’s amenities, as they are currently vague. The indemnity and insurance requirements were strongly recommended by the Association’s legal counsel in order to protect the Association from liability. The non-refundable use fee is being increased as large parties can result in excess trash or cleaning needed and this helps to subsidize the cost incurred by the Association.
