Proposed Changes to Property Improvement Form
Pursuant to Civil Code §4360, the Board of Directors will be considering proposed changes to the Property Improvement Form at the Board of Directors meeting to be held via Zoom on July 29, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. The information to access the Zoom meeting can be found on the Resident Portal at resident.actionlife.com. If you wish share your opinion regarding the proposed changes, please send your written comments to management’s office so it can be delivered to the Board prior to the Board Meeting. Alternatively, if you can attend the Board Meeting, your constructive comments will be considered by the Board of Directors prior to its making a decision on the proposed changes. Any and all comments made at the Board Meeting will be subject to the standing rules of the Board related to member comments at Board meetings.
The proposed changes involve adding a “Neighbor Awareness Acknowledgement” to the architectural approval process. This will require owners that are submitting an application to make modifications to the exterior of their property to obtain the signatures of all of their adjacent neighbors on the Neighbor Awareness Acknowledgement that is included in the Property Improvement Form. This requirement would be waived if the owner is only applying to repaint in their existing color scheme. The proposed changes to the Property Improvement Form are attached and in red font.
The purpose and effect of the changes are to make neighbors aware of proposed modifications to adjacent properties that could potentially impact them. If neighbors are aware of these plans in advance, it gives them the opportunity to voice any concerns to the Association so that they can be addressed prior to the project beginning.
