Santa Cruz Pool Replaster Project Update

Alan Smith Pools has advised us of some updates to the schedule for the completion of the pool replaster project at Santa Cruz. The County was not able to schedule a pre-plaster inspection until June 14th, and the plaster work cannot proceed until the County approves it. The current plan is to have the plastering done on the 15th, microglass done on the 16^th, and then they will refill the pools using a fire hydrant (which is the fastest way) on the 17^th. They will then need to do 5 days of initial water treatment to get the pool to the proper levels and protect the new plaster. The County also needs to do a final inspection. They will call the County for an appointment for the final inspection as soon as the pre-plaster inspection is done (they can’t make the appointment until this is completed).

As of right now, if all goes according to plan, the earliest possible reopening is June 23^rd, which is tentative. We will continue to keep residents apprised of any updates.

We know many residents are anxious to use the pool area and we greatly appreciate your continued patience. The Association is doing everything they can on their end to get this done as quickly as possible.
